I received my Masters in Counseling from Regis University and am completing my doctorate in Counselor Educations and Clinical Supervision. I love my work as a therapist! It is amazing to see how much strength each individual has within them that they may not be aware of! I enjoy helping each person identify the strength they hold and guide them in applying it, and using it, in their lives. Each person is a unique being bringing with them unique experiences that have shaped their lives. My goal is to provide a safe place, an empathetic ear, and a secure place where people can grow and change for the better.

Professional Background
Claudia has been licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2008. She has also received Certification as a Certified Addictions Counselor as of 2007. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University, in San Antonio, Texas, in 1991. She then received her Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix, in Community Counseling, in June of 2006. She is currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology through Walden University and has just completed her doctoral internship.

Claudia is interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the study of Addictions. She has had experience dealing with mood disorders, PTSD, the severely mentally ill, substance abuse, addictions, and crisis counseling.

Practice Philosophy
My theoretical orientation is a Family Systems approach flexible to each client’s needs.   I have an integrative approach, with a foundation in Client-centered Therapy integrated with cognitive-behavioral interventions.  I believe the right therapeutic approach for an individual is chosen through the course of counseling in collaboration with the client.  I provide a warm, professional environment which allows individual clients and families to explore current issues and concerns. Education, Training, and Clinical Practice
Brad received his undergraduate degree from the United States Coast Guard Academy.  Post Graduate work includes an MBA from Golden Gate University and a MS in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College in Maryland.  While on Active Duty, Brad was certified as a Critical Incident Team Member and Peer Counselor and performed collateral duty as an EEO and Civil Rights counselor.  He is credentialed as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is a member of the American Counseling Association.  With 28 years of active duty service in the U.S. Coast Guard, Brad has a keen understanding of the challenges veterans and their families face.  He has worked with families, adolescents and children in various clinical settings.
